Russia contributed to successful sales of iPhone

Successful sales of the iPhone in the third quarter that Apple has ended June 28, were due to the high demand for smartphones in the BRIC countries (Brazil, India, Russia and China). This was during a conference call, said Apple CEO Tim Cook. 

"In demand in the BRIC countries is difficult to believe," - said Cook. According to him, the iPhone sales in these countries in the amount increased in April-June, 55 percent in China - 48 percent. 

Apple is the third consecutive quarter separately mentions Russia among the countries with a high demand for its products. 

During the reporting quarter the company managed to increase sales of smartphones iPhone to 35.2 million units, compared with 31.2 million for the same quarter a year earlier. The share of iPhone accounted for about 53 percent of Apple's revenue quarterly or about $ 19.75 billion. 

According to Apple CFO Luca Maestri, iPhone sales for the quarter reflected the upper limit of its forecasts Apple, despite rumors of new products, which, according to Apple, could keep users from buying. According to rumors, Apple is preparing to introduce in September two new smartphone iPhone screens with diagonals of 4.7 and 5.5 inches.
